The CCS1A1-010-001-00 hybrid servo cable is manufactured by Kollmorgen within the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. As a preassembled power and feedback cable, it links an AKM servo motor to an AKD drive, transmitting feedback data and phase current through a single jacket. In centralized automation layouts, it simplifies wiring between cabinet-mounted controllers and moving axes, reducing installation time while maintaining signal integrity. Combining multiple electrical functions in one cable also reduces the number of separate connections required between the control cabinet and motor.
With a length of 1 m, the harness is intended for short panel-to-motor runs where excess cable slack is undesirable. Each power conductor has a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm², allowing the cable to carry the rated motor current without excessive voltage drop. The dielectric and shielding system supports 120/240 VAC single-phase or three-phase power, allowing operation with compatible single-phase and three-phase AKD drive stages. The cable uses a combined hybrid design in which the power conductors and digital feedback pairs share the same bundle, minimizing cabinet penetrations. Within the hybrid cable, a dedicated twisted pair supports SFD and power transmission, allowing digital position data and motor current to travel through the same assembly while limiting signal interference. Shielding around the signal conductors helps preserve feedback quality near motor power lines and other sources of electrical noise.
The cable is compatible with AKD-x00306 and AKD-x00606 drives, allowing it to connect with supported 3 A or 6 A amplifier models. At the motor end, the molded AKM C/CH 1.0 connector locks to compatible AKM motor housings and uses keyed mating to prevent incorrect alignment during assembly. Units are supplied in cardboard packaging, which protects the contacts during handling and transport while using recyclable packing material. The cable supports a centralized system topology, with drive electronics located inside the main control cabinet and hybrid cables routed to the machine axes. This arrangement keeps the drive electronics away from the moving structure and reduces the number of cable routes required between the cabinet and motor. The short cable length is suited to compact installations where the motor is positioned close to the cabinet or drive enclosure.
