Product Description:
The B-802-B-21-B3-E1 is one of Kollmorgen Goldline’s top-performing motors, featuring a robust body frame. With its rectangular NEMA housing, this servomotor has a protection category of IP 65 and features multiple connector options for supporting different types of applications. Like other brushless servomotors, the B-802-B-21-B3-E1 employs an interior permanent magnet construction, allowing it to achieve low cogging effect and high torque performance at rated conditions. As part of Kollmorgen’s Goldline series motors, this brushless motor is designed to work with the Servostar digital amplifier series. Furthermore, as part of the B-series, the B-802-B-21-B3-E1 can attain its final speed in a short period of time.
Aside from its interior permanent magnet, the B-802-B-21-B3-E1 also features a built-in thermostat and rugged resolver feedback. The built-in thermostat allows the digital amplifier to evaluate the winding temperature during operation. The resolver feedback, on the other hand, provides a way to monitor the angular position of the rotor with respect to some reference at any point in time. Similar to other B-80x motors, the B-802-B-21-B3-E1 can achieve a high peak line current and torque. During operation, this servomotor can deliver a continuous line current and stall torque of 32.4 A and 43.1 Nm, respectively.
Based on the B-802-B-21-B3-E1’s nameplate, the expected rated power during operation is 10.1 kW or 13.6 horsepower. With this output power, the motor can safely be used for the most rigorous applications. Weighing around 36 kilograms, this motor has a total length of 360.4 millimeters, measured from the motor flange. Like other Goldline motors, the B-802-B-21-B3-E1 can operate at a continuous duty zone and an intermittent duty zone. Depending on the mode of operation, the torque output at a particular speed may vary.
