The B-404-C-31 is a GOLDLINE servomotor from Kollmorgen Company that is used in conjunction with SERVOSTAR digital amplifier to improve performance and ease installation. The digital amplifier comprises three algorithms PI, PDFF, and Pole Placement which are selectable based on the functionality at hand. It has a factory preset and MOTIONLINK software that allows quick and easy tuning of the system. The software provides you five simple steps. Setting the SERVOSTAR for power source, connecting the amplifier to the motor, selecting operational mode, tuning SERVOSTAR for the load, and storing the amplifier’s settings.
The MOTIONLINK software includes additional features that allow seamless tuning and monitoring of the system. They include the monitor mode to jog the motor to monitor key operation variables, selectable tuning algorithms such as the PI and PDFF, and a PC Oscilloscope for evaluating the performance of the system. The B-404-C-31 has a continuous torque of 13.1N-m, peak torque of 24.1N-m, continuous power of 5.4kW, and a maximum speed of 5000RPM. It is used together with the SR20 amplifier. Like other B servomotors, it comes in the brushless design and is lightweight. It has rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnets that increase peak and continuous torque. It is an ideal option for rapid acceleration and deceleration applications thanks to the low inertia design.
This type comes in a compact design, has a large torque to volume ratio, it is UL recognized, and has a class H insulation classification. The IP 65 sealing ensures that the internal components of the motor are protected from extrinsic objects and liquids. Some of the options that the B-404-C-31 provide you include an IP 67 sealing, NEMA mountings, and mating connectors, among others.
