The B-404-C-21-034 is part of the Kollmorgen GOLDLINE series motors. The motors in this series are used in various applications thanks to their high performance. The B-404-C-21-034 comes with rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnets and an exceptional thermal design that allows it to provide acceleration capabilities and high continuous torque performance. The motor can be used in conjunction with SERVOSTAR digital amplifier to provide an easy to set up a high performance motion control system. As part of the B series, it is a low inertia motor ideal for applications that require high acceleration and deceleration.
The B-404-C-21-034 comes in a brushless design that eliminates the need for maintenance. It comprises a frameless resolver and industrial-grade connectors. Some of its basic features include a maximum speed f up to 7500RPM, insulation classification of class H, rare shaft extension, IP 65 protection category, and it is UL recognized. To extend its functionality, numerous options include encoder feedback, mating connectors, NEMA mountings, fail-safe brake, and an IP 67 sealing. The Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR amplifier used in conjunction with the motor enables easy installation and system set-up. The three algorithms namely PI, PDFF, and Pole Placement in the amplifier allow high-performance operation to be achieved easily.
Some of its features include a self-tuning load, velocity loops bandwidths of up to 170 Hz, easy connectivity, robust design, and advanced sinewave commutation technology. The B-404-C-21-034 weighs 12.5kg, has a continuous power of 5.4kW, peak torque at a stall of 224.1N-m, and a continuous torque at a stall of 13.1Nm.
