The B-204-B-21 is a synchronous motor representing Goldline series. The Goldline series is made by Kollmorgen, a renowned solution provider in the motion and logic industry. The series of brushless servomotors is divided into different product lines, including the B series representing low-inertia motors. The B series gives so many options in terms of frame size, speed, power, and torque. It features a top speed of 7500 RPM, continuous torque range of 0.84 - 115 N-m, and square frame ranging from 70 to 190 mm.
The B-204-B-21 brushless servo by Kollmorgen is suitable for applications demanding high torque and low-speed operation. The synchronous motor is capable of reaching a top speed of 3600 RPM and its continuous torque is approximately 4.47 N-m. Moreover, the servomotor can reach up to 13.8 N-m while generating 1.6 kW rated power. The 4-pole pairs servomotor weighs just 6 kilograms and features extremely low rotor-inertia, which allows it to accelerate and stop at a rapid pace. To generate such a high power at an input voltage of 230 volts, the spacious rotor features 4 stacks of neodymium-iron-boron material. This rare-earth magnet is known for producing exceedingly high energy on low voltages.
To make sure motor components don’t overheat the B-type winding offers industry-leading insulation to ensure smooth operation under Class H temperature, which is 180 Celsius. Moreover, the B-204-B-21 servo motor features IP65 sealing for maximum safety against external contaminants, such as dust, dirt and water splashes. The servo motor has a 92 mm square frame and approximately 275 mm length.
