Product Description:
The B-102-A-22 is a brushless motor produced by Kollmorgen under the B series. It is an extremely low inertia motor that is ideal for applications that require rapid acceleration and deceleration. You can use a host of gearheads as recommended by the manufacturer. The gearhead multiplies the output torque of the motor tenfold. Using a gearhead presents you numerous benefits such as higher bandwidth that is ideal for large loads, multiplying the servo positioning resolution, and high reliability. If you need an economical solution for low speed and high-torque, then get a gearhead for the B-102-A-22.
This Kollmorgen motor features a 10mm frame size, 2 stack length, and an A winding type. There is also provision of Bayonet connectors mounted parallel to the motor and a standard metric mount without rear shaft extension. It comes with 4 poles, thermal resistance at stall of 1.30 C/Watt, 2min thermal time constant, and 0.04 static friction. The peak line current and peak torque of the B-102-A-22 are capped at 7.2 A RMS and 2.41Nm respectively. Some of the options that you can add to the motor include a fail-brake that can be added to the rear of the motor and an encoder adapter which provides seamless coupling to a standard housed encoder.
The B-102-A-22 comes with Class H insulation materials, built-in thermostat to mitigate thermal overload, and rugged resolver feedback. The UL recognition means that it is safe to operate in numerous factory settings. It has a maximum operating speed of 75000RPM and comes in a compact design ideal for high torque-volume ratio. The permanent magnet design enables it to achieve high torque and power density while eliminating problems with conventional magnets.
