B-102-A-21-E1 falls under the Kollmorgen Goldline series of brushless motors. It provides much-needed solution for servomotor applications on the factory floor. The permanent magnets allow construction of a low inertia design while achieving high power density and high torque. This motor is preferred by most factories because of its performance needed in high-response point-to-point move applications. It is explicitly designed to work in conjunction with digital amplifiers under the SERVOSTAR series. This combination provides the most peak speed and torque in the industry. The motor is UL recognized.
The B-102-A-21-E1 provides you with numerous options such as electromechanical fail-safe brake, gearmotors, encoder and resolver feedback, and IP65 and 67 sealing. Since it is a low inertia, it allows for optimal performance in application that require rapid deceleration and acceleration. Some of its features include rear shaft extension, an integrated thermostat, resolver feedback, and a 7500RPM standard speed. It comes with a 0.73 horsepower, 0.54kW, and 7500rpm speed at rated power. At stall, it provides a continuous torque at 40 degrees and 25 degrees of 0.84Nm and 0.89Nm, respectively. It weighs 2.5kg and has a static friction of 0.04N-m.
The B-102-A-21-E1 comes with a standard less encoder adapter, standard metric mount with IP 65 sealing and rare shaft extension, and Bayonet connectors with less mating plugs. You can add a gearhead as an option to achieve high output torque. It will not only multiply the output torque but also provide low backlash, precise position, higher bandwidth, and multiple ratios. The gearheads recommended by Kollmorgen come in a small package allowing it to fit in tight spaces. They also improve life of the motor since they motor and gearhead bearing load.
