The E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00 is a NEMA 34 hybrid step motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. Despite the motor’s small package, it’s capable of delivering a high torque making it an industry leader. The E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00 is easy to use and control since it does not need expensive feedback equipment. The motor can comfortably be used in place of servo, pneumatic and hydraulic motor systems. The motor supports the P7000 stepper drive which is an industry leader when it comes to system smoothness, functionality, and high-speed performance.

Advantages of using the P7000 stepper controller with the E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00 include, but not limited to, the presence of an auto-smoothing feature which allows machine performance upgrade without redesigning the machine control architecture, dynamic smoothing which minimizes jerk when accelerating, and mid-band anti-resonance control which, among other things, eliminates machine downtimes and unnecessary motor stalls. The E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00, as with other Kollmorgen hybrid stepper motors, has two phases that are DC-energized. Note that hybrid stepper motors’ performance is closely tied to the voltage and current supplied by a drive.

The E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00, as with other stepper motors from Kollmorgen, uses enhancing technology that allows a motor to have a smaller frame but deliver a higher torque with a 25 percent boost allowing for faster machines. Other unique features found in Kollmorgen hybrid step motors include a high voltage insulation that increases reliability by eliminating gaps and joints. A high insulation also allows the E33NRFA-LNN-NS-00, as with other motors in the same family, to be interfaced with high performance high voltage drives. Another feature is the use of a large bearing system that enables the motor to comfortably handle high side loading and increased thrust loads. This leads to a longer life and lower machine costs.
