Integrated power electronics and signal conditioning let the drive regulate speed, torque, and position in packaging machines, printing lines, and other automated equipment where precise, synchronous motion is required.

Rated performance begins with a continuous armature current of 2.5 A zero-to-peak that the drive can supply indefinitely at a cabinet temperature of 40 °C. For rapid acceleration, it delivers up to 7.5 A peak, giving a threefold overload margin before current foldback. When connected to a 230 V mains supply, the power stage can sustain 0.5 kW of mechanical output while drawing a nominal line current of 5 A rms. Start-up demands are handled by a 100 A inrush capability that charges the internal DC bus without nuisance tripping. The hardware can dissipate 51 J of regenerated energy through an integral brake resistor, and the three-phase sinusoidal SVM commutation keeps torque ripple low during continuous motion.

Control and interfacing features match its power stage. Position or velocity commands enter through a 14-bit A/D converter, giving 16,384 discrete levels for fine loop resolution. The current regulator updates every 125 µs, while discrete control paths react within the 100 µs I/O response window. Eight digital inputs, four digital outputs, and a relay contact rated at 1 A provide sufficient handshake signals, and the scanning routine for these lines completes each 1 ms cycle. For analog feedback or a process reference, the drive sources up to 2 mA. Despite these functions, the enclosure weighs only 1.8 kg, easing panel layout and reducing load on linear slides or swinging doors during service access.
