The digifas 7108 model is a standard version of digifas 7100 series servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen. The unit comes with an analog speed set point with an incremental encoder to detect the exact position of the output shaft. The servo amplifier is mainly designed to monitor and control the operations of the AC servo motors of the 6SM series. The amplifier operates at the rated 3-phase input voltage of 80 – 400 VAC, supplied by the respective power supply unit. The rated voltage frequency of the model is 50/60 Hz. The model is equipped with internal and external ballast circuits of 200W and 2000W. The ballast circuit provides protection against high voltage effect and the pulse power of the ballast circuit is 6.9 kW for a maximum of 1 second. The model dissipated the continuous power of 100 W while operating at the rated current of 8 A_rms. A brushless synchronous servo motor of a minimum of 5 mH inductance can be operated with this amplifier module. It comes in a speed and torque control mode. The net weight of the servo amplifier is 7.9 kg, excluding the weight of the external ballast resistor and accessories.
