Product Description:

The DIGIFAS 7206 is a digital servo amplifier built by Kollmorgen for the current and torque control of the 65M motor series. The combination of the amplifier with the compatible series produces a highly efficient automation system that can easily meet the dynamic operation requirements of several production and processing applications. The installation, handling, and general operation of this amplifier as a component of machines or electrical equipment should be carried out by well-trained personnel; however, this should only be done according to instructions stated in the manual delivered with the amplifier. For easy identification, a nameplate is attached to each servo amplifier; the nameplate contains information on the type, serial number, software version, and certification of the amplifier.

The DIGIFAS 7206 is the standard version of this product series; it features 4 current types, analogue speed-setpoint input, incremental positional output, and controllable motor brake. The standard version of this product is unable to carry out position control, so this operation must be carried out by the automation equipment with the amplifier. Operators that need to adjust the operation parameters of this product can do so through the parallel interface of a PC using the BS7200 operation software.

The mains supply of the amplifier is also done through a B6 bridge rectifier with current inrush limiter, directly off the 3-phase 400 volts mains. The amplifier's output stage is an IGBT module with electrically isolated current measurement. The power supply for this product is without a transformer, however, the user is required to provide compatible fuse protection and phase-failure monitoring by the user. The DIGIFAS 7206 servo amplifier has a total weight of 2.4 kilograms, it also has an height of 310 millimeters, a width of 73 millimeters, and a depth of approximately 236 millimeters.
