The Kollmorgen digifas 7204-LINK is a digital servo amplifier. It can be used for motor control applications and is compatible with 6SM servo motors. The amplifier delivery package contains one digifas 7200 series servo amplifier, a diskette with the BS7200 operator software, two ring cores and an operating manual. During transport the ambient temperature range should be between -25 and 70 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity should not exceed 95%. Only qualified personnel should be involved in amplifier transport and should follow ESD precautions to prevent amplifier damage. During storage the ambient temperature range is -25 to 55 degrees Celsius. If the digifas 7204-LINK is stored for more than a year, then the capacitors must be re-formed before commissioning. If the amplifier housing is dirty then it should be cleaned with isopropanol or a similar liquid.
The digifas 7204-LINK is designed for 400 Volts AC input. The rated connected load for S1 operation is 2.5 kVA. The continuous and peak output current ratings are 4.2 Amps and 8.4 Amps. The form factor of the output current under rated specifications and minimum load inductance is 1.01. The clock frequency of the output stage is 8.33 kilohertz. The residual voltage drop at rated current is 5 Volts. The power loss at rated current – including loss in the power supply without ballast dissipation – is 60 Watts.
