Product Description:
The DIGIFAS 7200 servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen should be operated only after reading and understanding its documentation. This amplifier must not be opened by the user. The product must always be installed in a closed switch cabinet. This device should be touched only after waiting for at least two minutes after it has been disconnected from the power supply. The unit has a unique nameplate with its type designation and key technical details. It is available as a standard version with an incremental positional output and an analog speed setpoint input.
This amplifier is used for driving the manufacturer’s 6SM product group of brushless synchronous servomotors. The product can be operated at up to a maximum temperature of 55 °C. This device installation should be done after checking its conformation with the motor. The unit has an IP 20 protection rating. Its parameters are set using the BS7200 operator software. This amplifier can be cleaned with isopropanol or a similar agent when the housing is dirty. The product is cooled by natural convection. This device can be installed at an altitude of up to 1000 m above sea level without restriction. The unit must have a supply of filtered cool air from below inside the control cabinet. Its terminals may be live even when the motor is in standstill mode.
This amplifier is meant to be installed and wired in a de-energized state. The product should be grounded properly before it is turned on. This device has a heatsink that reaches a temperature of up to 80 °C when it is in use. The unit encompasses DC-link capacitors that have to be reformed when it has been stored for more than a year. It comes along with a diskette containing the BS7200 operating software, an installation manual, and two ring cores. This servo amplifier does not need any maintenance if it is used as intended and must be stored and transported in the horizontal orientation.
