Product Description:
The DIGIFAS 7116-L2/DP is a long-lasting and highly compact digital servo amplifier built by Kollmorgen for long-lasting to improve the operation performance of industrial applications that feature the 65M brushless synchronous motor. This amplifier belongs to the PROFIBUS CONNECT version of the product series; it is designed for connection to the PROFIBUS-DP with four current types and a digital setpoint input from the automation equipment. During operation, the amplifier provides current and torque and provides accurate position control. Holding brakes integrated into servo motors are also accurately controlled by this amplifier. The DIGIFAS 7116-L2/DP is a configurable device; operators that set operation parameters can do so through a local PC featuring the BS7200 series special operator software. The fuse protection and phase-failure monitoring required by this amplifier during operation are expected to be provided by the user.
The DIGIFAS 7116-L2/DP servo amplifier operates with an input supply voltage of between 80 to about 400 volts, this voltage is supplied at a frequency of between 50 to about 60 hertz. The rated connected during the operation of this servo amplifier is about 7 kilovolts ampere; the amplifier also operates with a rated intermediate circuit voltage of approximately 560 volts. The DIGIFAS 7116-L2/DP is protected against overvoltage damage; the switch-off threshold for overvoltage is about 750 volts.
The DIGIFAS 7116-L2/DP digital servo amplifier maintains an impressively high clock frequency of 8.33 kilohertz during operation. The rated output current produced by this amplifier during operation is 50 amperes, although the peak output current is about 100 amperes. At rated current, the expected power loss from this servo amplifier is about 540 volts while the residual voltage drop is measured to be about 5 volts.
