Product Description:
The D062M-13-2420-044 is a frameless, direct-drive rotary motor produced by Kollmorgen for the DDR Direct Drive Motors series. Integrated directly into a machine through its face-mount pattern, the unit supplies torque to an axis without belts or gear stages, enabling precise position and speed control in material-handling systems, indexing tables, and electronic assembly cells. Because the housing is non-sealed, it is best installed inside a protected enclosure or a clean machine environment.
The stator can deliver a continuous output of 9.8 N-m at 40 °C, which is the steady torque available during continuous duty. A dual bearing arrangement keeps axial and radial alignment stable, while the 90° rotatable connector eases cable routing inside compact enclosures. With an outside diameter of 6.93 in, the motor fits medium-sized rotary platforms, and its mid-stack length balances force density with thermal mass. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 0.0071 kg·m², which allows quick acceleration while helping resist load disturbances. The windings accept a line supply of 115/230 VAC for operation with a matched amplifier, and a resolver in the A winding style supplies analog sinusoidal feedback for closed-loop position and velocity control.
During transients, the motor can reach a peak torque of 33.5 N-m, giving extra headroom for rapid indexing or for overcoming static friction. Continuous operation is limited to a top speed of 500 rpm because higher speed would increase back EMF and thermal rise beyond the intended operating range. The dual bearings also permit a moment load up to 108 N-m and axial compression up to 4500 lbf, supporting overhung fixtures or vertical thrust loads without excessive deflection. With a mass of 11.3 kg, the assembly provides structural stiffness for high-bandwidth motion while remaining practical to handle during installation.
