Product Description:
The 00-N0606-001 belongs to Kollmorgen’s DDR Direct Drive Motors series. It integrates the rotor directly with the load, eliminating belts and gearheads in compact indexing stations, semiconductor handlers, and similar automation equipment. The motor is supplied as a frameless kit, allowing its stator and rotor to fit around the machine’s bearings. This arrangement transmits torque with minimal mechanical compliance and supports precise motion profiles in closed-loop servo systems.
The rotor-mounted optical encoder provides a resolution of 500 CPR for position and velocity feedback. Its differential driver supplies A/B/Z plus U/V/W tracks, enabling quadrature measurement, index detection, and motor commutation. The encoder signals operate at a bandwidth of up to 400 kHz, allowing the connected controller to process rapid changes in shaft position. Mechanical output passes through a precision-ground bore measuring 6.0 mm. The electromagnetic circuit uses four motor poles to produce the required torque and commutation pattern. A differential output format reduces the effect of common-mode electrical noise, while the typical 90° quadrature delay maintains accurate channel phasing. The index signal becomes active only when both the A and B channels are high, and its typical width is 90° for consistent reference-position capture.
Shaft runout is limited to 0.001 in TIR, helping the rotor remain concentric during operation. Axial play stays within ±0.003 in to limit movement along the shaft axis. The encoder draws 17 mA at 5.0 V, reducing the electrical load placed on the regulated control supply. The stator face aligns with a 1.812 in bolt circle, allowing the mounting surface to maintain accurate placement around the machine axis. Installation uses #4-40 × 3/16 in screws to clamp the rotor-stator assembly securely. Four-pole operation uses typical 30° state widths, providing the commutation sequence required by the connected servo controller.
