Product Description:
Kollmorgen’s CT Stepper Motors series includes the Cool Torque Performance line, which features the CTP33NLF99KEE00 stepper motor for position-controlled axes that require elevated holding torque without closed-loop feedback. The unit carries the High Torque Performance designation and employs a straight keyway shaft for positive mechanical engagement with pulleys or couplings. The rear shaft uses English dimensions and includes encoder mounting holes for applications that require external feedback. By delivering discrete step motion through full-step or microstepping drives, the motor supports indexing tables, packaging actuators, and similar automation stages.
The motor occupies a Size 34 / 8.5 cm frame, and its electromagnetic section uses a three-stack laminated core that increases magnetic flux along the rotor length for higher static torque. In bipolar drive mode, the CTP version develops 11 N·m of pull-out torque, allowing it to drive moderate-inertia loads directly without gear reduction. The stepper amplifier must supply a continuous phase current of 9.9 A. The windings have an insulation rating of 340 VDC, which indicates the maximum voltage they can safely withstand. These electrical values assist with the proper selection of compatible power electronics and cabling while helping prevent excessive current or voltage from reaching the motor.
For mechanical integration, the shaft can withstand an axial force of 100 lb (45 kg) in either direction and a radial load of 65 lb (29 kg) at the shaft center, accommodating the forces commonly produced by belt-and-pulley systems. Power connections use four leads, providing the straightforward bipolar wiring arrangement used by this motor family. Installation uses NEMA through holes, allowing the frame to fasten directly to standard 86 mm motor flanges without adapter plates. The keyway maintains positive engagement under load, while the rear mounting holes provide a secure location for a compatible encoder when position verification is required.
