Product Description:
The ST-3218 RSTi Analog Input Module is designed to expand your system's capabilities with its 8 analog input channels, allowing for the connection of multiple sensors or devices. This space-saving solution is part of the Crevis Slice Modules series. Having a 12-bit input resolution, the module accurately converts analog signals into digital values that your control system can understand and use, since converting analog and digital signal is much efficient.
Featuring signal inputs from 4 to 20 mA, the module is a common choice and will easily interface with sensors that output within this range across different situations. The communications are stable through a nice sliding-contact mechanism, the collected data is sent in a convenient 16-bit integer (2's complement) format ready for signal processing and system integration. Communication happens between the module and other devices using I/O connections plus different supported protocols being, like, RS-232, RS-485, and CANopen. This makes setting things up easier with legacy as well as newer communications standards, since communication standards are evolving over time though RS-232, RS-484, and CANopen are quite important through other standards, as well.
This is a DIN rail module, so, installation will be a breeze in standard setups using a 35 mm standard DIN rail; and because there is one green/red FnBus state indicator, it's also easy to check the module status at a glance so you can quickly sort out potential problems. With such a small size-- just 12 x 99 x 70 mm -- and weight of 70 grams, this module will fit easily into any tight space. Because the module meets the IP20 enclosure rating, protection comes as designed from particles, so only mount or implement in sheltered locations.
