Product Description:
The B8961 NP-FK1 is a 1-axis drive without a front panel. The drive comes with a fan kit rated for 115 Volts AC to enable the drive to operate at higher ambient temperatures. The B8961 NP-FK1 is a product of Industrial Devices Corporation (IDC). The drive is supported by a Windows-based application development software named IDC Motion. An optional TM99 thumbwheel device for operator input can be ordered with the drive. The connections for the AC input and ground are located on the top side of the B8961 NP-FK1. The encoder and motor connections are located on the bottom side of the drive. Dimensions of the drive are as follows: 230 millimeters height, 30 millimeters width and 148 millimeters depth. The B8961 NP-FK1 drive combines a DSP based servo amplifier with a power but easy to use machine controller.
The B8961 NP-FK1 incorporates IDC’s 5 Amps continuous, 10 Amps, 120 / 230 Volts AC digital servo amplifier with a motion / machine controller in a single compact package. Up to 24 digital I/O are available for controlling other machine functions. Up to 8 of these I/O can be configured as analog outputs or inputs. The servo amplifier on the drive employs vector control for offering higher bandwidth and velocity control when compared with hall effect or sinusoidal brushless amplifiers. IDCs ships the application development software, AC power cable, installed opto modules (optional) and fan kit with the smart drive. A keypad if required can be ordered separately as an option. Input rating of the B8961 NP-FK1 is 90 to 240 Volts AC (single-phase). The integrated encoder is a differential quadrature incremental encoder. The drive supports an integrated RS-232 interface.
