The Kollmorgen AKMH53H-CCSNGE02 is a hygienic stainless steel washdown motor from the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series with a face mounting IEC design and IP69K protection class. It produces a continuous stall torque of 9.45 Newton-meters and has a peak torque of 26.7 Newton-meters. The motor features a Hiperface DSL single-turn encoder with 18-bit resolution and operates at a speed of 3000 rpm at 560 VDC.
Internal Product Review
The AKMH53H-CCSNGE02 is a hygienic stainless steel washdown motor built with 316L stainless steel for high-cleanliness motion systems. IP69K protection and surface roughness below 0.8 µm make the design especially well suited for aggressive washdown environments. Continuous stall torque of 9.45 N·m and peak torque of 26.7 N·m give the motor strong servo performance.

Product Description:
The AKMH53H-CCSNGE02 is a hygienic stainless-steel servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series. It is designed for industrial automation zones that require high-pressure washdown and avoidance of bacteria-harboring crevices. The motor couples directly to gearboxes or load shafts and delivers closed-loop motion control to conveyors, fillers, and mixing equipment.
With a continuous stall torque of 9.45 N·m, the unit can hold loads steadily while drawing only 5.92 Arms of phase current, improving thermal efficiency during extended duty cycles. When operated from a 560 Vdc DC link, it produces 2.18 kW of mechanical power at a rated speed of 3000 rpm, supporting mid-range servo axes in packaging or bottling machines. Dynamic events such as indexing or accelerating cutting heads are handled by a peak torque capability of 26.7 N·m. A maximum bus voltage of 640 Vdc supports drives that use high-energy braking or share a common DC rail. Position data is transmitted through a Hiperface DSL single-turn encoder with 18-bit resolution, enabling single-cable feedback and reducing enclosure penetrations. The winding has an inductance of 11.4 mH and a resistance of 2.12 Ω, providing an electrical time constant suited to modern IGBT inverters.
CIP fluids and caustic foams cannot penetrate the enclosure because it has a protection rating of IP69K. The housing and shaft components are machined from 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel, and every external surface is polished to a roughness of < 0.8 µm to discourage biofilm formation. A face-mounting IEC pattern (IM B14) aligns the 148 mm flange and 110 mm pilot with standard reducers. The 24 mm closed-keyway shaft follows DIN 748 and DIN 6885 T1. The absence of an integral brake simplifies cleaning around the rear cover. The winding has a thermal time constant of 69 min, while the rotor inertia of 9.12 kg·cm² moderates overshoot during fast positioning cycles.
