The AKMH52L-ACKNCA1K is a hygienic stainless steel washdown motor from Kollmorgen in the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series. Built from 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel, it measures 1 m overall and is supplied with a mineral-filled PTFE cable jacket for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical automation where direct washdown is routine. The smooth stainless exterior supports use in areas where equipment is exposed to aggressive cleaning agents and frequent rinsing. It connects directly to AKD drives through a pre-assembled cable and provides rotary motion without an internal brake for high-sanitation servo axes.

Electrically, the motor delivers a continuous stall torque of 6.66 Nm while drawing 9.87 Arms at 100 °C. This allows the axis to hold load at zero speed during continuous operation when the thermal limit is observed. For rapid cycles, the windings accept 34.8 Arms to reach a peak torque of 20.8 Nm. The torque constant is 0.68 Nm/Arms, which links drive current to output torque in a direct and easy-to-apply way. A line-to-line resistance of 0.63 Ω and an inductance of 3.24 mH describe the winding's electrical behavior, while the back EMF constant of 48.3 Vrms/krpm indicates the voltage generated as speed rises. Mechanical speed is capped at 6000 rpm, so connected gearing or direct coupling must stay within that limit.

At the machine interface, the motor uses the AKMH5 frame with a 148 mm IEC flange, a 110 mm pilot, and a 24 mm closed-keyway shaft sealed to IP69K. The FDA-approved O-ring, the IP69K shaft seal, and a surface roughness below 0.8 µm help limit bacterial retention during caustic washdowns. Smart Feedback Device electronics provide 11-bit resolution with 8 arc-min accuracy, and rotor length code 2 is paired with 6.22 kg·cm² of inertia. The windings support a DC bus of 640 Vdc, and the assembly weighs 11.1 kg. It mounts in the IM B5 orientation and follows DIN 748 and DIN 6885 standards.
