Product Description:
The AKMH41C-ACKNCA3K is a hygienic stainless steel washdown servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series. It combines a 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel housing with an IP69K shaft seal, allowing direct installation in sanitary production lines without auxiliary covers. A flange-mounted IEC interface in the IM B5 style allows the motor to be bolted to gearboxes or pump heads while maintaining a cleanable exterior profile for industrial automation lines that require regular high-pressure washdowns.
The motor has a 114 mm flange sealed by an FDA-approved O-ring, while an 80 mm pilot provides concentric alignment. Its shaft has a closed keyway and a diameter of 19 mm, following DIN 748 and DIN 6885 T1 for coupling compatibility. The housing carries an IP69K rating, allowing its surfaces to withstand high-pressure, high-temperature sanitation, and the external surface roughness remains below 0.8 µm to discourage residue buildup. Internally, the windings accept up to 640 VDC from an AKD drive through a factory-terminated, 3 m mineral-filled PTFE cable, reducing field wiring requirements. Position data are delivered by an SFD3 encoder with an 11-bit resolution, enabling tight velocity control at the drive. The AKMH4 frame and shortest rotor length help keep the overall mass low, while the mineral-filled PTFE cable jacket resists caustic cleaning agents.
Dynamic output reaches a peak torque of 5.75 Nm at 5.8 A, supported by a torque constant of 1.25 Nm/A. This torque-to-current relationship keeps current demand moderate for midrange applications. When the drive holds position, the motor draws 1.46 A and delivers a standstill torque of 1.77 Nm, providing stiffness for indexing loads without a mechanical brake. The winding has an inductance of 66.1 mH and a resistance of 21.3 Ω that match the C-type coil design. These electrical characteristics moderate ripple current, while the motor’s protection class helps preserve dielectric strength during aggressive washdown procedures.
