The AKMH22G-ACKNCA1K is a hygienic stainless steel washdown motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series. It serves as a compact direct-drive actuator for packaging, filling, and CIP machinery that requires precise torque and speed control during daily high-pressure cleaning. The motor can be mounted openly in wet zones without a secondary enclosure, and it connects directly to an AKD drive through a sealed one-piece cable.

The motor produces a back EMF of 11.7 Vrms/kRPM, so the connected drive must provide compatible voltage. Continuous stall torque is 0.64 N·m, while peak stall torque reaches 2.72 N·m for short-duration demand. The windings have a DC resistance of 1.79 Ω and an inductance of 3.19 mH, which affect current response during operation. A rated speed of 7000 rpm is matched with a power output of 344.52 W, making the motor suitable for fast conveyors, pumps, and similar compact motion tasks. Rotor inertia is 1.61 × 10⁻⁵ kg·m², and position feedback is provided by an SFD3 encoder over the preassembled one-meter AKD cable. The motor is supplied without a brake, so any holding function at standstill must be provided externally.

The mechanical design supports sanitary installation. Frame size AKMH2 uses a 74 mm stator body, a 79 mm flange, and a 40 mm pilot for accurate centering in an IEC flange mount. The shaft follows DIN 748 and DIN 6885 T1, with a closed keyway, an 11 mm diameter, and a 30 mm length, while a shaft seal helps block fluid ingress during washdown. Torque production is rated at 0.175 N·m/Arms. Surface finish remains below 0.8 µm because of mineral-filled PTFE potting and a 316L stainless steel housing. The complete assembly carries an IP69K protection rating, and it also uses an FDA-approved O-ring flange seal, IM B5 style, flange mounting IEC, and rotor length code 2.
