The AKMH22C-ACKNCA1K is a hygienic stainless steel washdown motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKMH Stainless Servomotors series. Classified in frame size AKMH2, the unit uses a 1.4404 (316L) stainless housing that resists caustic detergents in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical equipment. By combining servo accuracy with full washdown construction, the motor supports compact axes where external gearboxes or protective covers are impractical. Its hygienic design also suits exposed machine areas where frequent sanitation cycles can quickly damage painted housings or added covers.

The motor operates with a maximum bus voltage of 640 Vdc, allowing the type C winding to produce a peak torque of 2.65 Nm at speeds up to 8000 rpm. Continuous load is rated at 0.61 Nm, while standstill current is 1.19 Arms and winding resistance is 20.0 ohms. Position feedback is supplied by a Smart Feedback Device (SFD3) encoder with 11-bit resolution through a pre-assembled AKD drive cable, which supports accurate motion control on compact servo axes. The enclosure carries an IP69K rating, and the shaft seal works with an FDA-approved, mineral-filled PTFE O-ring at the flange interface to support washdown service. The motor uses IEC flange mounting with a 40 mm pilot, has a surface roughness below 0.8 µm, comes without a brake, and uses rotor length 2.

A flange diameter of 79 mm is paired with IM B5 mounting orientation, and the closed-keyway shaft measures 11 mm in accordance with DIN 748 and DIN 6885 T1. During acceleration, the drive can draw 5.56 Arms, and the stator inductance is 35.5 mH. The supplied 1-meter cable removes the need for on-site connector assembly, which helps simplify installation in sealed equipment areas. The sealed mechanical interface also helps protect the rotating connection points during routine washdown and repeated cleaning cycles.
