Kollmorgen AKM series of motors comprises motors for use in every industrial environment. AKM motors can be used for extremely rough washdown regimens, high-performance dynamic applications, and food processing. For optimal performance, Kollmorgen AKM motors are designed to be controlled using Kollmorgen digital amplifiers in the AKD series. AKD drives provide plug-and-play functionality minimizing the time it takes to set up the entire servo system. AKM motors allows co-engineered modifications to be introduced enabling the motor to seamlessly interface with the intended application. Note that pairing an AKD drive with an AKM motor lowers the cost of the servo system and provides the precise specifications of a custom solution in less time.

The AKM62P-ACCNDB-00 is a servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It has standard customizations and does feature a holding brake. The motor features an optical multi-turn EnDAT2.1 encoder for feedback. By supporting 4096 revolutions with an accuracy of 512 lines per 2048 revolutions, the AKM62P-ACCNDB-00 can be used with applications requiring precise positioning. To facilitate power and feedback connections, the motor has rotatable angular connectors. Their rotatable nature allows the motor to be mounted in a variety of positions with the recommended being with motor’s shaft facing up, down, or sideways.

Note that care has to be taken not to rotate the connectors after connections have been made because it’s likely to lower its international protection rating. The connectors have an international protection rating of IP 65 allowing them to be used in environments with high levels of dust and water splashes from all directions. The AKM62P-ACCNDB-00 has a frame size measuring 108 millimeters and a shaft keyway.
