Product Description

The AKM54G-ANCNEM00 synchronous servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen is designed to provide superior class performance coupled with industry-leading power density. The motor is easy to commission and use with full-frequency autotuning and plug-and-play motor recognition. The weight of the motor is 9 kg. The unit does not have brushes; commutation is performed electronically by the servo amplifier used. The product should be operated only under the ambient conditions defined in the product documentation. The AKM servomotor comes with a flange size of 108 mm and a rotor length of 4. It features winding type G and is incorporated with rotatable angular connectors. Care should be taken that the device should never be connected directly to the mains supply. The thermal contact integrated into the windings of the motor should be observed and evaluated. The standstill torque of the device is 14.3 Nm and its standstill current is 5.0 A. The maximum mains voltage of the motor is 480 VAC. The torque constant of the device is 2.88 Nm/A and the voltage constant is 185 mV/min. The AKM servomotor is equipped with ball bearings, which must be replaced after 20,000 hours of operation under rated conditions. The device should be checked for bearing noise once every 2,500 operating hours. In the case of noises, the operation of the motor should be stopped, and the bearings must be replaced. Wherever possible, only backlash-free, frictionally locking couplings or collets should be used. The couplings should be correctly aligned. A displacement will lead to unacceptable vibration, and the bearings and the coupling will be destroyed or damaged. The motor should not be opened by the user for cleaning or other purposes because opening the device voids the warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions about AKM54G-ANCNEM00

Q: What is the storage time of the AKM servomotor?

A: The storage time of the AKM servomotor is unlimited if storage conditions specified in the product documentation are followed.

Q: Does the delivery package of the AKM servomotor contain mating connectors?

A: No, mating connectors are not part of the delivery package of the AKM servomotor. The manufacturer can supply preassembled resolver and power cables if required.

Q: Why should brute force be avoided on the AKM servomotor?

A: The AKM servomotor is precision equipment. The flange and shaft are especially vulnerable at the time of storage and assembly. So, brute force should be avoided on the motor.

Q: What will happen if the couplings of the AKM servomotor are not aligned correctly?

A: If the couplings of the AKM servomotor are not aligned correctly, it will result in unacceptable vibration and the destruction of the coupling and the bearings.

Q: Can axial loads be used on the shaft of the AKM servomotor?

A: No, axial loads should be avoided on the shaft of the AKM servomotor as far as possible, because axial loading shortens the life of the motor significantly.
