The AKM42J-ACCN2-00 is a synchronous servo motor designed by Kollmorgen according to international standards, this industrial motor is a compact device that features a brushless device and can undergo continuous start-stop operations at a high repeat frequency. Also, the motor is a permanent magnet excited device, the permanent magnet present in the motor are made from special rare earth neodymium-iron-boron, these special magnetic materials are responsible for the ability of the motor to maintain low-inertia during operation. The AKM42J-ACCN2-00 industrial servo motor features special temperature sensors which are built into the motor winding, this temperature sensors are signaled through an electrically isolated thermistor. The ambient temperature suitable for the operation of this industrial motor falls between 5 to about 40 degrees, also the maximum permissible installation height for the motor is about 1000 meters above sea level. Special grease-lubricated ball bearings are also integrated into the housing of this industrial motor, these ball bearings have a service life of 20,000 hours under normal operating conditions. However, the overloading of the motor can cause a significant reduction in the service life of the ball bearings. The AKM42J-ACCN2-00 industrial motor meets the IP65 protection class, the motor housing is also covered by a prime black coat which is resistant against corrosive liquid substances such as dilute acids, dilute alkali, mineral oil, and water. However this coating is not resistant against solvents such as nitro-thinners, trichloroethylene, or any other similar solvent.
