The AKM42E-GNCNR-00 is a rotary servo motor engineered by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides closed-loop torque and speed control, allowing automation equipment to achieve precise positioning without mechanical backlash. The unit is supplied without a holding brake, so load retention must be provided by an external mechanism or continuous drive torque. This arrangement is suitable for axes that do not require an internal brake to secure the load when motor power is removed.
The motor frame measures 84 mm across the mounting face and has a rotor length index of 2, providing a stack depth that balances continuous torque with modest inertia. A smooth shaft simplifies connection to gearboxes or direct-drive mechanisms where keyed engagement is unnecessary. Power and feedback are routed through 2 SpeedTec-ready connectors that support quick quarter-turn locking during installation. Mechanical attachment uses alternative flange variant G, which provides a different pilot diameter and bolt circle for machines that require this mounting pattern.
