Product Description
The AKM31E-ANCNC-00 is a synchronous servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is a brushless DC motor designed according to IEC 60034 standards and used in demanding closed-loop systems as a precision tool. For this motor to work, the servo amplifiers used should be from the SERVOSTAR series. These servo amplifiers, where electrical commutation occurs, make the AKM31E-ANCNC-00 ideal for placement tasks. The AKM31E-ANCNC-00 is dynamic. This can be attributed to the magnet material found in the rotor.
The AKM31E-ANCNC-00 has a standstill torque of 1.20 M0 [Nm] and a rated speed of 750 n n [min -1]. Power transmission in the AKM31E-ANCNC-00 is made in the cylindrical shaft. The standard shaft consists of a locking thread but lacks a fitted-keyway (which is offered as an option). If there is a fitted key, it should be removed from the shaft before the motor is allowed to run independently. To increase the safety rating of the cylindrical shaft, IP67 protection seals the shaft. The shaft ring protects the shaft from impurities like oil mist.
The AKM31E-ANCNC-00 belongs to Kollmorgen’s AKM family of motors. These motors are fitted with a resolver as the standard feedback element. However, you can have either the EnDat, BISS, ComCoder, and SFD feedback systems mounted as the revolver's alternative. They are also available with a holding brake. These brakes, designed as standstill brakes, can be controlled directly by the servo amplifier. You can use additional wiring if the brakes are not controlled directly by the servo amplifier. But make sure you consult the manufacturer's applications department beforehand. Note that these motors can produce a voltage of up to 900V. So, during assembly and wiring, the motors should be de-energized.
