Product Description:
The AKM22C-ANB2GB-00 is a permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It serves as a compact rotary actuator in automated packaging, semiconductor handling, and light-duty assembly lines, translating drive commands into tightly controlled torque and speed. By integrating directly with SERVOSTAR drives, the motor allows programmers to implement coordinated motion axes that improve throughput and repeatability in production equipment.
The mechanical interface uses a precision flange, and the frame size is 58 mm, which keeps the bolt circle compatible with small gearboxes while allowing sufficient stator volume for winding designation C. A rotor length index of 2 balances torque capability against mass. Axial power and feedback cabling is routed through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, reducing installation time through the use of quarter-turn locks instead of threaded couplings. A factory-installed 24 V holding brake clamps the rotor whenever control power is lost, preventing drift on vertical axes. Output torque is delivered through a smooth shaft, simplifying coupling to prebalanced pinions or friction drives and eliminating stress concentrations associated with a keyseat.
Position feedback is generated by a HIPERFACE encoder that incorporates the SKM36 sensor head. This device supplies sinusoidal signals with a basic resolution of 128 lines per revolution, and interpolation inside the drive provides high-precision velocity and position data. The multi-turn optical encoder reports up to 4,096 revolutions of absolute shaft position without battery backup, supporting machine restarts without a homing cycle. The flange conforms to IEC accuracy grade N, which helps align the motor centerline with gear stages or ball screws so that feedback accuracy is maintained throughout the mechanical system.
