The AKM21C-EFMN2-01 is from the AKM synchronous motor series. The AKM motors are brushless DC motors that are widely employed for motion control applications. The AKM21C-EFMN2-01 has proven to be a very successful platform for servo applications and provides accurate position and speed control with its SERVOSTAR servo amplifier. Using Comcoder with 2048 PPR, the motor provides real-time control over speed, torque and motor position.

The AKM21C-EFMN2-01 uses a unique neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material that increases its functionality and enables it to cater to rapidly changing motion requirements. At U_N = 115 V, the motor has rated speed, rated torque and rated power of 2500 rpm, 0.46 Nm, and 0.12 kW respectively. At  U_N = 230 V, these values are 8000 rpm, 0.39 Nm, and 0.32 kW. The motor’s weight is 0.82 kg and its shaft comes with an open keyway.The implementation of the international protection standard IP 65 ensures that the motor can operate safely in harsh environments and is protected against dust particles and low-pressure water jets. The rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.11 kgcm²  and a 0.48 Nm standstill torque can be applied to the output shaft.
