The AKM12C-SSSNR-03 is an energy-efficient motor that belongs to the AKM servo motor family from Kollmorgen Automation. This motor has a compact and unique enclosure that is designed to protect it from solid foreign interference and water splashes. At low operation speed, this motor design is able to maintain a smooth torque transmission with very little jerks. The low cogging quality of this makes it suitable for applications that require precise positioning and accuracy. The installation of the AKM12C-SSSNR-03 is easy and straightforward; when used with the AKD drive controller, it is easily recognized as soon as it is plugged into the drive. There is no air blower installed with this motor; it, however, has a 10 x 10 x 1/4 inch heatsink made from aluminum plate.
