The AKI-CDT-MOD-15T-000 is a human-machine interface panel engineered by Kollmorgen within the AKI Interface Panels series. This touchscreen operator terminal provides a graphical point of interaction between PLC-based control systems and machine operators in industrial automation cells. Its front-mounted format lets users view process values, alarms, and navigation screens directly at the machine. By combining display, communication, and low-voltage power functions in one housing, it simplifies cabinet layouts and supports straightforward integration in motion and process equipment. That arrangement also reduces the need for separate display modules and external status indicators on smaller systems.

The screen measures 15.1 in diagonally and renders graphics at 1024 x 768 px, allowing standard SCADA objects to appear at native XGA resolution without scaling. A palette of 64K colors enables status differentiation through clear, saturated hues that remain legible under factory lighting. The TFT-LCD has an active area of 304.1 x 228.1 mm, giving sufficient room for multilevel menus while preserving touch targets that remain practical on busy process pages. The color depth also supports clearer separation of warnings, setpoint pages, and trend views on the same interface. For network integration, an embedded Ethernet controller communicates at 10/100 Mbit/s, so the panel can exchange process tags with controllers over standard CAT5 cabling and keep screen updates responsive when values change in real time.

The unit operates from a 24 VDC supply and draws 1.2 A during normal runtime, rising to 1.7 A maximum during cold start. A time-lag fuse rated at 3.15 AT protects the internal circuitry against inrush and field wiring faults. User projects are stored in 12 MB of onboard flash, which is adequate for typical recipe data, interface graphics, and screen resources without external media. With a mass of 3.7 kg, a 60 mm mounting depth, and a 356 × 279 mm panel cutout, the terminal can be door-mounted without placing excessive load on light-gauge sheet metal or compact cabinet doors. The shallow rear profile also leaves useful space for cable routing behind the enclosure door, which helps when rear clearance is limited by nearby devices or wiring ducts.
