The AKD-P00307-NBEC-0091 is a digital servo drive produced by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKD Servo Drives series. As a position-indexing controller, the unit delivers closed-loop motion commands to brushless servo motors used in pick-and-place cells, material handling axes, and packaging lines. It provides power conversion, regulation, and communication so that higher-level PLCs can coordinate precise velocity, torque, or position profiles within industrial automation systems. It is suited for coordinated axes that need repeatable starts, stops, and speed changes during automated machine cycles.
At the control layer, the drive is delivered as a Position Indexer, so it can execute stand-alone move sequences without a separate motion card. Network traffic is handled through its EtherCAT fieldbus port, allowing deterministic updates inside distributed synchronous cycles. This communication method is useful where multiple axes must remain synchronized to a common control cycle. The power stage accepts a three-phase AC input of 240 / 480 Vac 3~, and once rectified it can supply a continuous phase current of 3 Arms to the motor windings. Under rated conditions, the converter draws 2.24 kVA from the supply, which helps size upstream protection and wiring.
For short acceleration bursts, the power stage can output up to 9 Arms for five seconds, giving the motor additional transient torque during brief demand peaks. The unit is supplied with no hardware extensions (rev 8+), leaving expansion slots open for optional I/O or safety modules when the application requires them. With a mass of 2.7 kg, the drive can be mounted on DIN rail or backplate without elaborate bracing. Its compact enclosure also helps conserve cabinet space in tightly packed automation panels.
