The AKD-P00306-NBPN-0000 is a Kollmorgen motion controller in the AKD Servo Drives series. The unit functions as a compact axis drive that closes current, velocity, and position loops for brushless servo motors in automated machinery. Within a control cabinet, it conditions incoming AC power, manages encoder feedback, and executes motion commands sent by a higher-level PLC, providing precise acceleration, speed regulation, and holding capability for material handling, electronics assembly, and general factory automation.

The Standard USA configuration aligns the unit with North American electrical and safety conventions, with parameter sets and labeling suited to UL environments. The unit uses the Position Indexer variant, so it can store and execute absolute or relative moves without external interpolation. Communication to the supervisory layer occurs over PROFINET RT, which provides deterministic Ethernet messaging and supports cyclic setpoint updates. The hardware option is None (rev 8+), so the base board includes revision 8 or later functionality and leaves the expansion slot unused.
