Product Description:
The AKD-P00306-NBEI-E000 is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the AKD Servo Drives series. It is intended for closed-loop motion control in industrial automation, where it regulates the current, velocity, and position of matched servomotors. By integrating power electronics and an embedded motion processor, the unit executes indexing commands locally, which relieves the supervisory controller of high-frequency trajectory tasks and reduces network traffic.
This model is supplied with the drive firmware set to the Position Indexer version, enabling standalone point-to-point moves that are triggered by digital I/O or network telegrams. For higher-level coordination, it joins deterministic plant networks through Ethernet/IP; the protocol transports cyclic setpoints and status words without external gateways. Under continuous duty the power stage delivers a nominal phase current of 3 Arms, while transient demands such as rapid accelerations can be satisfied with up to 9 Arms for five seconds. The power section is rated to absorb 1.2 KVA from the mains, so cabinet designers can size branch protection devices and line reactors accurately. These electrical limits define the thermal envelope of the heatsink and dictate the motor–drive pairing range.
The supply can be single- or three-phase, operating on 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~, which allows the same drive to serve both light domestic feeds and larger plant buses. At only 1.1 kg, the standard-width housing eases DIN-rail mounting and minimizes mass on movable panels. Text strings, alarms, and parameter names appear in Standard EU English, matching common HMI language settings. There is no optional daughtercard installed; the hardware extension field is therefore None (rev 8+), leaving the internal expansion slot free for future fieldbus or feedback upgrades if required.
