Product Description:
The AKD-P00306-NAS3-0000 is a digital servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKD Servo Drives series. Designed for closed-loop motion control, the unit interfaces between a PLC or motion controller and a synchronous servo motor. It modulates current and voltage in real time to maintain commanded torque, speed, or position in automated machinery such as pick-and-place axes, conveyors, or packaging stations. Because the control loop is managed inside the drive, commanded motion can remain stable during speed changes, load variation, and repeated start-stop cycles.
This drive is delivered in the Standard USA version, so its mechanical dimensions, labeling, and safety features follow North American conventions. The drive uses the Position Indexer version, so internal logic can execute single-axis point-to-point moves without an external controller. Real-time communication with multi-axis networks is handled through SERCOS III, which carries motion commands and feedback over deterministic Ethernet. This communication link supports synchronized data exchange with networked motion devices and helps maintain coordinated axis behavior in distributed systems. The rated supply input accepts 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~, enabling use on single-phase or three-phase mains commonly found in control cabinets. During continuous operation, the converter supplies 3 Arms of motor current, which supports steady torque output from the connected motor.
For short acceleration bursts, the unit can source 9 Arms for up to five seconds, allowing reserve torque during rapid indexing. The power section is sized for 1.2 kVA of input, which helps with upstream device sizing and enclosure heat planning. The drive has no hardware extension, so additional I/O or safety cards are not populated. Despite its aluminum heat sink and integral fan, the drive weighs only 1.1 kg, which helps simplify DIN rail installation. The low mass reduces handling effort during panel assembly, and the compact format makes it easier to place the unit in cabinets where mounting space is limited.
