The AKT-AT-420-000 is an analog output terminal produced by Kollmorgen within the AKT IO Terminals series. As a member of the Advanced Kollmorgen Terminal family, it converts digital control data into stable, regulated current signals that drive actuators and transducers in automated machinery. The module occupies a small section of DIN-rail space and interfaces with a controller through the series internal bus, extending analog output capacity without adding a standalone drive.

The unit is specified as a 4-channel analog output, so four individual circuits share a common module address while delivering signals to field devices. Each channel presents a current range of 0-20 mA, matching standard process instrumentation loops. Digital-to-analog conversion uses 12-bit resolution; with 4096 steps, this translates to roughly 4.88 µA per increment and supports fine positioning and proportional valve control.
