Product Description:

The Kollmorgen 64WKS-M240/70-RLG is a 64WKS series transistor – inverter. It is a controller in double-sized Eurocard format for brushless DC servomotors. Output of the controller is designed as a PWM transistor stage. The phase reversal of the motor and tachometer windings is controlled by electronic rotor position sensor (RLG) of the motor. Up to three 64WKS-M240/70-RLG devices can be connected in parallel with one acting as master and driving synchronization. The 64WKS-M240/70-RLG enables the generation of a dynamic speed or torque / current control circuit. A total of four 64WKS-M240/70-RLG devices and a power supply can be mounted in a 19-inch 6U rack. Weight of the board is 2.5 kilograms which increases to 5.1 kilograms with housing. The device is designed for vertical mounting. The operating temperature range is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius.

Output power of the controller reduces by 2.5% for every additional degree Celsius increase between 45 and 55 degrees. Storage temperature range for the 64WKS-M240/70-RLG is from -25 to 85 degrees Celsius.  Protection rating of the device is IP00 and it is designed for indoor use. Several types of overvoltage protection are available on the system including overvoltage protection, fuse protection and short-circuit protection. Rated supply voltage for the device is 60 – 172 Volts AC (3-phase). The rated output current is 70 Amps which can go up to 140 Amps for 0.5 milliseconds. The power loss at rated output is 400 Watts. The controller and associated equipment should only be installed by trained personnel. Relevant safety precautions should be implemented during installation and operation. Failure to follow safety instructions from the manufacturer can lead to equipment damage and severe injury to operating personnel.
