The 60WKS-CE240/6PB is one of Kollmorgen’s most spectacular analog servo amplifiers produced under the 60WKS line. Intended originally for the SM motor series by Kollmorgen, the 60WKS-CE240/6PB offers precise speed and torque control modes. With its modular design, it is designed to be an integral component of a three-phase brushless servo motor. Aside from monitoring and controlling the servomotor, it also acts as the supply for the three-phase motor. Since servomotors are sensitive devices, they must not be connected to the mains supply. Instead of installing several protection circuits for the motor, servo amplifiers such as the 60WKS-CE240/6PB offer protection for the motor and provide the necessary excitation for the motor to run.
The 60WKS-CE240/6PB connects to the three-phase supply through an isolated transformer. As a compact analog servo amplifier, this device must be installed inside a switchgear cabinet with sufficient ventilation. As mentioned earlier, servo amplifiers also provide protection functions to maintain the reliable operation of servomotors.
