The 30.Z1.F04-1010 is a sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) filter produced by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between a pulse-width-modulated drive and a standard induction motor, the unit attenuates high-frequency voltage edges so the motor winding receives a nearly sinusoidal waveform, which helps reduce bearing currents and acoustic noise. In automated plants, this filter supports long motor cable runs and helps sensitive field devices meet emission limits without requiring individual line reactors or shielded enclosures. By smoothing the waveform at the drive output, it also reduces stress on motor insulation during continuous operation.
This model is designed for a nominal voltage of 400 VAC, and its thermal and conductor sizing supports a rated current of 570 A. The core windings have an inductance of 0.02 mH, which forms a low-pass network that shunts carrier harmonics while leaving the fundamental frequency largely unaffected.
