Product Description:
The 29.Z1.F04-1010 is a sine wave electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between an inverter and an induction motor, the filter reshapes the pulse-width-modulated output into a near-sinusoidal waveform, lowering voltage rise stresses on winding insulation and reducing conducted emissions on the plant power system. By smoothing current and voltage, it helps drive systems meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements while limiting motor heating and bearing wear in high-power automation lines where long motor cables are unavoidable.
The filter is tuned for a three-phase output circuit and carries a nominal voltage rating of 400 VAC. It can conduct up to 460 A of continuous current through an inductive core that provides 0.03 mH of differential inductance for high-frequency components. The design tolerates voltage excursions up to 550 V without core saturation, and the winding geometry limits full-load losses to 550 W. A single M12 terminal sized for 185 mm² conductors simplifies bus connections, and the product remains effective within the permitted switching range of the connected drive. Three wound columns contain 11.0 kg of copper, and the mounting flanges have 10 mm holes for direct attachment to a cabinet backplate.
Total depth reaches 412 mm, while the framed body is 155 mm wide and 325 mm high. Coil overhang increases the required cable width to 245 mm, which must be considered when routing conductors beside the filter. The assembly has a mass of 48.2 kg, so suitable lifting equipment should support it during installation. For thermal management, the unit operates with carrier frequencies not exceeding 2 kHz, limiting core heating to levels that natural convection can remove. The laminated iron-core stack supports the windings, minimizes stray inductance, and maintains consistent electrical performance across the permitted operating range.
