Product Description:
The 27.Z1.C04-1000 is an EMC filter produced by KEB as part of the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Positioned in the drive output circuit, this component helps smooth the drive output into a cleaner sine wave, reduce electromagnetic interference, and support harmonic control in large automated machinery. Its construction is intended for heavy-duty motor feeds in conveyor systems, extruders, and process lines where reduced voltage spikes can help protect connected equipment and preserve signal integrity.
Electrically, the filter handles a continuous load of 315 A and is tuned for a line voltage of 400 VAC. It is intended for a three-phase network frequency of 50 Hz, and compatibility with drive outputs up to 160 kW allows it to pair with high-power inverter cabinets. Its terminals can accept a maximum input of 440 VAC without saturation. Under these conditions, the total harmonic distortion on current stays below 8 %, which helps limit heating in supply cables. Although it is sized for floor mounting, the housing width of 552 mm still allows placement in standard MCC sections when ventilation clearances are maintained.
Mechanical and thermal data complete the installation profile. The enclosure weighs 294 kg, stands 635 mm high, and extends 550 mm front to back, so floor anchoring is recommended before cable pull. A protection rating of IP20 provides finger-safe openings, but the unit still requires installation inside a switchgear cabinet for additional enclosure protection. Heat loss reaches 1480 W at full load and should be removed by forced ventilation to keep internal temperatures within range. Power and motor leads clamp to a cross-section of 240 mm², while the dedicated PE stud uses an M10 bolt. Under nominal conditions, the voltage distortion factor Pwhd remains below 15 %.
