The 26.Z1.H04-1000 is a sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. It is installed between an inverter and the driven motor to attenuate high-frequency voltage edges, reduce common-mode noise, and safeguard insulation systems in industrial automation drives. By shaping the output waveform into a nearly sinusoidal profile, the unit helps industrial facilities meet conducted emission limits and protects motors against premature bearing wear.
This model is connected at the DC bus of the drive system, so the choke and capacitors act on the intermediate circuit before the inverter stages commutate. The filter is rated for a continuous load of 250 A, allowing it to handle high-power drives without saturating its magnetic core. Its energy-storage network consists of a compensation choke and capacitor set, a topology that cancels differential-mode ripple while presenting low impedance at the fundamental frequency. The components are mounted in a sheet-metal enclosure identified as housing type U, which supports vertical or horizontal cabinet mounting and maintains airflow around the heat-generating winding. To remove heat, the Fan 1/2 terminals supply auxiliary blowers that force air through the lamination stack and stabilize the temperature during continuous operation.
Power conductors terminate with ring lugs sized for M8 studs, simplifying integration with standard busbars. Thermal monitoring is provided by a KTY sensor embedded in the winding. A redundant thermal switch marked T1/T2 provides an additional temperature signal, and both monitoring devices can be connected to the inverter for an overtemperature shutdown. Two screw-clamp terminal blocks carry the low-level sensor and fan leads, keeping control wiring organized and separated from the main current path. Each terminal block supports conductors with cross-sectional areas of up to 4 mm².
