The 26.Z1.C04-1000 is a sine wave EMC filter manufactured by KEB and assigned to the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Positioned on the output side of a frequency inverter, it converts the steep switching edges of the drive into a smooth sinusoidal waveform, reducing motor insulation stress and radio-frequency emissions in industrial automation lines. The filter protects nearby equipment and the motor winding while supporting compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements on machines that run continuously in production environments.
At an input of 400 V three-phase supply, the device is rated to handle a continuous line current of 263 A, which corresponds to a motor power of 132 kW at standard 50 Hz and 60 Hz mains frequencies. Under nominal conditions, its iron-core construction keeps efficiency above 99%, generating a fixed 1360 W of thermal dissipation that must be removed from the cabinet. Short overloads are allowed up to 150% for 60 s/10 min, giving the drive additional headroom during acceleration or brief process upsets. The primary terminals accept conductors up to 150 mm², and the protective-earth bar uses an M10 stud for secure bonding.
The filter’s steel frame measures 552 mm in width and 294 mm in height, and it extends 545 mm in depth, so the cabinet must provide a clear airflow path around the heat-dissipating surfaces. Despite its compact footprint, the assembly weighs 241.5 kg, and integrated lifting eyes simplify placement on panel backplates. An IP20 protection rating permits installation inside closed electrical rooms where only limited particulate exposure is expected, and its 3K3 climatic category suits the ambient temperature and humidity conditions typical of industrial shops.
