Product Description:
The 22.Z1.C04-1000 is a sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility filter developed by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between a drive and the line supply, the unit smooths current waveforms so other automation equipment connected to the same electrical system is exposed to less harmonic distortion. This helps reduce unwanted interference returning to the supply network and supports more stable operation of connected converters, contactors, and control hardware. By limiting distortion to the level intended for this filter class, the installation can remain within plant power-quality targets used in industrial automation networks.
The filter is intended for three-phase systems operating at the standard 50/60 Hz utility frequency and a nominal line voltage of 400 V. Under those conditions, it can support motion or process drives up to 55 kW while carrying a continuous phase current of 121 A. The module operates at an efficiency of >99%, which keeps heat generation low and limits thermal dissipation to 590 W. Power conductors connect to 50 mm² terminals, and an M10 protective-earth stud is included for grounding. A normally closed thermal contact is built in so an external monitoring circuit can remove power if the internal temperature rises too far.
During intermittent loading, the assembly withstands 150% for 60 s / 10 min, allowing short acceleration demands without magnetic saturation. When operated with a maximum cable length of 5 m, network-side current distortion remains below <8%, which helps reduce unwanted effects on shared supply branches. The chassis has an IP20 protection rating, so it must be mounted inside a closed panel where energized parts are shielded from accidental contact. Suitability for 3K3 climates supports use in control rooms with moderate humidity and temperature conditions. At 107.7 kg, the filter requires rigid support rails and careful handling during installation.
