The 20.Z1.F04-1010 is a three-phase sine wave electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Positioned between a pulse-width-modulated drive and the connected motor, the unit converts steep switching edges into a smooth sinusoidal waveform. This action minimizes conducted interference, protects motor insulation, and lowers bearing current in industrial automation systems that rely on variable-frequency drives. By suppressing differential-mode and common-mode noise, the filter also helps machines meet CE emission limits and permits longer motor cable runs without additional shielding.
The device is rated for continuous operation at 75 A with a phase-to-phase voltage of 400 V AC. It can tolerate overvoltage excursions up to 550 V without dielectric failure. The laminated core supplies 0.16 mH of inductance, which works with the downstream motor impedance to curb the rate of voltage change across the windings.
