Installed between a pulse-width-modulated drive and an AC motor, the device smooths the inverter’s output so the motor windings receive a near-sinusoidal voltage. By lowering common-mode noise and dv/dt, the filter limits electromagnetic emissions, reduces insulation stress, and permits longer motor cables in automation lines.
