The 19.Z1.B04-1000 is a three-phase sine-wave EMC filter produced by KEB as part of the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between an inverter and its motor load, the unit shapes the pulse-width-modulated drive output into a smooth sinusoidal waveform, which lowers electromagnetic emissions and reduces motor insulation stress. By suppressing steep voltage edges and common-mode currents, it helps automation panels meet industrial noise limits while extending cable and bearing life in variable-speed conveyor, pump, and fan systems used in industrial machinery.
The filter is designed for a nominal line voltage of 3 × 400 VAC, and its windings can carry up to 94.5 A during short-term peaks while supporting a continuous current rating of 63 A. A core inductance of 467 µH provides the reactance needed to attenuate switching harmonics without introducing resonance with the motor’s leakage capacitance. Under full load, the additional impedance produces only a 4 % voltage drop, which remains acceptable for standard IEC motor tolerances. Internal copper paths exhibit 4.4 mΩ of DC resistance, so conduction losses remain modest during extended operation. The enclosure is classified as IP20, which indicates touch-safe terminals but still requires installation inside a ventilated control cabinet.
