The 18.Z1.F04-1010 is a sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility output filter produced by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Positioned between a variable-frequency drive and a three-phase motor, the component reshapes the inverter's high-frequency switching waveform into a nearly sinusoidal signal. This reduces insulation stress on motor windings and helps limit electromagnetic interference near adjacent control hardware during automated operation. A smoother output waveform also reduces the amount of high-frequency content passed from the inverter to the motor cable.
Electrically, the filter uses a 3 Ph + PE topology and supports a nominal line of 3 x 400 VAC while tolerating surges up to 530 VAC. This arrangement supports standard industrial motor connections while keeping the protective-earth path continuous. Continuous conduction is rated at 50 A, and overloads of 75 A are permitted for 30 seconds to provide limited headroom during acceleration. Internal copper paths have only 4.4 mΩ of DC resistance, and the network handles inverter carrier content up to 100 Hz without excessive heating. The enclosure meets IP20, providing finger-safe barriers for installed equipment.
